Envision3 Portals

A connected lead-management, customer-operations, and self-service ordering platform for Envision3. Internal teams manage leads, quotes, orders, production, and customer relationships while customers request quotes, review pricing, track orders, and reorder completed work.

01 / Scope

What needed to change.

Envision3 needed two focused applications built around one connected workflow.

The internal team needed a practical workspace for managing leads, contacts, customers, quote requests, quotes, orders, production jobs, assignments, and activity notes. The customer experience needed to provide the other side of that process without exposing internal records or controls.

The project also needed realistic demonstration data covering the complete lifecycle—from a new lead and quote request through an accepted quote, active production, shipment, delivery, and reorder.

02 / Design

How the solution took shape.

The solution uses two independent Flask applications backed by a shared MongoDB data and service layer.

The internal portal is organized around two tools: Lead Management and Customer Operations. Ownership, assignment, status, contact information, and activity remain visible throughout each workflow. Dense dashboards, direct record links, modal editors, and short workflow wizards help staff move work forward without jumping between disconnected systems.

The customer portal presents the same underlying business process as a streamlined workspace. Customers can submit quote requests, compare quote options, accept or decline pricing, follow orders through production and shipment, access tracking information, and start reorders from completed work.

Authentication and server-side customer scoping keep the two experiences separate while shared validation, database contracts, and reusable interface components keep their behavior consistent.

03 / Outcome

What the work unlocked.

Envision3 now has a working end-to-end demonstration of its customer lifecycle.

Internal staff can capture and qualify leads, convert relationships into customer work, assign requests, build quotes, record customer decisions, and manage orders through delivery. Customers receive a focused self-service experience for requesting work, reviewing prices, monitoring progress, and reordering.

The result demonstrates how one connected platform can replace handoffs between separate lead lists, quote documents, email conversations, and production-status updates.
